General Questions

Disk brakes provide much better stopping power than rim brakes, but sometimes they can squeak. Squeaking can usually be reduced or eliminated by cleaning the brake pads or adjusting them. For more information on adjusting, check out these articles:

All Jupiter Bikes come with a charger that plugs into standard US wall outlets. Most batteries can be charged inside or outside the bike frame. The LED light on the charger will turn from red to green when the battery is fully charged. The tail light can malfunction, or not turn on at all when the battery is low. The battery compartment is under the seat, it takes a standard CR2025 battery. Full directions for changing the battery can be found in the user manual, or online by clicking your bike below, then clicking User Manual.

Lots of different things can affect your Jupiter Bike’s speed including weight of the rider, temperature, and charge on the battery. Your bike also has different speed levels that you can control.

There are many different variables that can affect max distance. Outside temperature, rider weight and wind to name a few. Generally speaking, your range will increase at lower speeds. If your cruising at max speed your range will go down significantly. Check the specs on your bike to see max range.

Your Jupiter Bike is water resistant, not waterproof. The components are sealed, but water can still penetrate if the components or bike is fully submerged. Be careful around water. Water damage is not covered under our standard warranty.

Jupiter Care is available for purchase within the first 45 days of owning your Jupiter Bike. This extends your warranty out to 2 years and covers accidental damage. Your sales receipt will be required for registration. Click HERE for details.

Warranty Questions

All new Jupiter Bikes come with a limited 1 year warranty. More information is available from the warranty page. Extended warranty is available through the Jupiter Care program.

The Jupiter Bike warranty covers internal manufacturer defects only and not physical damage.

Accidental coverage is available for purchase from our Jupiter Care program. Click HERE for details. Bike must be registered with Jupiter Care within 45 days of purchase. Sales receipt is required for registration.

The warranty process starts by the user submitting the Service Request form. Our team will reach out to you within 2 business days to discuss next steps. Often our certified bike techs will be able to troubleshoot the issue over the phone and can send out spare parts to the user. The bike may need to be sent to Jupiter Bike for more severe issues.
