Discovery X5 Electric Bike
Notes
The handlebar comes turned for better transportation, but this can cause the cables to be too tight and not allow the handlebar to raise. To fix this, open and loosen the clamp that connects the handlebar to the handlebar stem, then try to raise the handlebar again. If it's still too tight, completely open the clamp that holds the handlebar and detach the handlebar. Then straighten the handlebar stem, and reattach the handlebar.
If your handlebar stem feels loose or wobbly there is an easy adjustment you can do. Locate the Bolt under the Handlebar Latch and turn it to the left. This should tighten the stem and make it feel more secure. Be careful not to overtighten or the latch will not close.
Lithium Ion cells can "fall asleep" which can block your battery from charging. You can wake the cells up by following these steps:
1. Place the battery in your freezer for 24 hours. It's okay if you're a bit over.
2. Let the battery thaw 6-8 hours. Please try to stay in this range, the timing on this step is important.
3. Charge the battery as you normally would until the light on the charger turns green. Please note that this can take up to 24 hours. Please unplug if the charger is still red after 24 hours.
4. You're good to go!
Another reason for your battery to not charge is a faulty charger, but this is much more rare. Contact Jupiter Bike Tech Support at 813-609-2453 opt. 4 if you have questions or problems with this procedure.
